Mary Murphy said one thing that was slightly brilliant tonight:

Dancing doesn’t build character so much as it reveals it.

And here’s what was revealed tonight:

This routine gets my vote as one of the hottest, most incredible of the season.  Josh and Courtney were fabulous in both dances tonight, and they’re really the only couple who can claim that title.

Magic happens when you put two hip hoppers together… this proves why Comfort should be in the show, but unfortunately she can’t do much else but this.

Amazing, amazing, amazing.  One of my favorite songs of all time, sung by my man David Archuleta, put onto the best two dancers on this show, with one of the most magical routines of the season… truly a recipe for success.  If these two aren’t in the top 4, this series has gone seriously wrong.

Nigel: <referring to Chelsie’s provacative dress> You’d never go in a kitchen looking like that, now would you?

Cat: … Not to cook…

Other high points: Nigel about burst a blood vessel after Twitchington’s Krump routine…

I thought the judges were way too hard on Komfort and Thayne’s first routine, and way too soft on Josh and What’s-her-name’s Viennese Waltz.  The hip hop routine was refreshing to me.  Brilliantly choreographed and not too skanky.  Thayne and Komfort are getting a video on this one… (just to spite the judges)

OK.  Mia’s comment about Will’s partner, Jessica, was totally uncalled for and just plain rude.  Putting it on Will like that was bush league!  “You’re just tired of carrying her, aren’t you!”  And then as if she didn’t realize what a terrible position she had put him in, she had the audacity to repeat herself 2 more times.  Mia is a brilliant choreographer but a classless individual.

Well, I just can’t not post this last video… tonight’s most incredible routine.  This was absolutely brilliant choreography!  Go Tice!

All in all, I think Thayne, Comfort, Matt, and his partner are all in DEEP doo doo tonight.  One or more of them are going home, because the other guys are just hitting on all cylinders.

And I really want to put a muzzle on Mary Murphy.  Didn’t her mother ever teach her that it’s really rude to scream in someone else’s face?  And to a proper British gentleman, at that!

They really front loaded the show tonight with the amazing dancers.  Twitch and Kherington were amazing.  Only Kherington could look that good in an orange jumpsuit, and I loved their matching fake glasses.  The guys are working the popularity vote like crazy!  And I think it’s working.

Gev and his partner were also a-freaking-mazing.  The rumba was totally hot, and her dress was amazing!

I liked Tice’s choreography with the African themed jazz thing, and I didn’t think they did as bad as the judges made them out to be.

Will and Jessica… Disco?  Well, she just looks like a robot compared to him.  He needs a new partner before she sinks him.

I still can’t stand Matt.  I’m not sure what it is about him.

I love Thayne and Chelsea.  They’re quirky and fun, but what was up with their song… Can’t hurry love?  Come on… crappy song choice.  It just didn’t fit the dance style at all for me – and they didn’t do very well either… oops.

Mr Axe Murderer and Yet-Another-Chelsea… besides the fact that I can’t ever remember their names… I absolutely, positively, really loved this choreography, and they did a really good job with it, too.

This one deserved a video.  I think it might stand out as one of the best routines of the year, on par with the bench routine from Season 2 and the table routine of Season 3.  You know why?  All of those were incredible stories.  The other two or three awesome routines tonight were fun, sexy, and well executed, but this is the one we remember because of it’s really cool story.

I have to ask, who is this Joshua guy that keeps showing up every week with his gangsta grill and hair, and who is just an INCREDIBLE dancer!  He tears it up every week when I’m just absoulely sure he’s going to tank… Broadway?  Jazz?  Samba?  He can do it all!  Talk about unexpected… this guy is sick!

As for last night? I just have one letter to send to Mary…

Dear Mary Murphy,

Where exactly is the “Tra la la place in [your] heart?”

I was totally on board with Nigel last night. I said everything he was going to say before he said it. Between him and Simon, maybe I was supposed to be a British critic… Well, I was with him until he totally fell off his rocker after the Broadway dance. I couldn’t believe how blown away he was over such ho-hum choreography and really awkward costumes.

I thought Thayne and Crystal’s costumes sucked, but they kind of got panned way too much. They are one of my favorite couples, though.

What was up with Matt’s really girly arms and hands? Once again, there’s not much going on upstairs when you see him dancing.

I really liked Gev and his partner’s choreography, and I loved loved loved Twitch and Kherington in the very non-vienese waltz. I think they stole the night.

I think it’s important to note that Kherington is my favorite dancer to look at this year. It’s not just because she is easy on the eyes (all of the girls are), but she has some extra spark in her eyes and a million dollar smile. Seriously, it’s just magnetic and causes obsession.  She should come with a warning label.

I’m not sure who is going to get voted off this week, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be two more people I don’t particularly care about yet. I secretly hope it will be the girl with the color damaged hair from Miami, but not necessarily her partner.

Oh, and what’s up with Mr Serial-Killer-Axe-Murderer dude. Seriously. He’s creepy.

I wasn’t even going to post about tonight’s show, but after seeing this guy, popper Robert Murraine, I couldn’t help but post a video. This guy is absolutely amazing!

It’s gonna be a great season!
