The Last Day of My Mid-Twenties
This Thursday will mark my twenty hmm-hmm birthday.
That’s right, twenty hmm-hmm.
We’re not focusing on the number this year, because it feels like I’m marking the end of my mid-twenties and the beginning of my late-twenties, something I’m not entirely comfortable with yet.
I don’t like to make a big deal out of birthdays, mostly because it’s so awkward to have to stand there by a cake while people sing the Birthday Song. I’m never quite sure if I should sing along, make eye contact, do a lyrical ballet, or just feel awkward that everyone is staring at me and singing a really stupid song… especially if they sing it really slow.
So tomorrow will probably be the last day of my mid-twenties, and I have no plans. So to you, my faithful blog readers, I pose the question: if you had one last day to be in your mid-twenties, what would you do with it?

Good Enough to Read Even If You Don't Know Them

I have my *cough cough* birthday next week, and I’m masking my true feelings with a new dress and jewelry and shoes and a trip away with my husband which I’m guessing isn’t the thing to recommend to you. And he’s not likely to sing anything to me, so for me, can I just request a interpretive dance? Extra points if you stick a candle on your head during it!
Oh, and if I had one last day to be in my mid-twenties…I’d be 24 and rent a car, just so I could complain about paying more.
Chant with me now: Tattoo, Tattoo, Tattoo….
I’d blow ever cent i own. Oh wait…thats last day of life. Nevermind i dunno
I changed my mind…tattoo, tattoo, tattoo…
I will try to remember what I did at the end of my mid-twenties… Nope. I didn’t do anything memorable.
I dunno about what to do with the last day of your mid twenties, but when it comes to the birthday song, is there ever a bad time for a lyrical ballet? I THINK NOT!
Ooh! Please, PLEASE do the lyrical ballet! Maybe about getting a tattoo….?
