Anyone who pronounces our 36th state with a 2nd syllable fit for Queen Elizabeth’s court – “ni-VAHH-duh” – clearly doesn’t live in the west, can’t speak american english, and probably would get laughed off the sidewalk for such a pretentious pronunciation.
It’s ni-VAA-duh. Get it right, or pay the price.
