How does he do that?
He posts the video of himself conducting the song with piano accompaniment. Users submit their videos of themselves singing along to it (they wear headphones so they can hear the pitches).
There is a tone at the very beginning that helps them sync all the audio, and of course, they only accept videos with really clean audio.
