WhiteEyebrows vs. The HOV Lane

I love Texas.  I moved here 3 years ago thinking that it would just be a temporary stop on my way to bigger and better things, but soon realized that this was the bigger and better thing I was looking for!

Case in point: they recently installed a new HOV lane on one of our major highways, Highway 75.  This HOV goes for about 15-20 miles without an entrance or exit, being separated from the other lanes by plastic pole barriers spaced too closely to allow for cheating. When you’re in it, you’re in it!

Texans, though, don’t care about plastic poles.  We drive trucks which would make your daddy proud.  We are bigger than any plastic pole!  So what do we Texans do?  We make our own entrances and exits where we want!

GO TEXAS!  DON’T FENCE ME IN!

  1. I have always wondered who thought up the HOV policy here in TX, it makes no sense whatsoever! I think it causes more accidents than anything and half the time it is closed! But that is TX for you I have now learned to to expect a rational answer to my questions! 🙂

  2. What I want to know is… what were you doing taking a picture the same time you were driving 70 miles an hour (or more)??? So unsafe! I personally think those poles are stupid because then no one wants to use the HOV lane… so there might as well not be one then.
